Venice is Flooding

So what is new and different about Venice flooding? It does it every year for about 200 days. Well, according to BBC news reports, this year it is REALLY flooding, marking this as the worst flood in over 30 years. The water has already reached 1.6 meters (5.24 feet) above the 'normal flood' level and is predicted to go to 1.66 meters, if it has not already today. The mayor has warned residents to stay home and if tourists were planning on coming to double think it before they do.
