Ray Ruiz has left a new comment on your post "Umm...I Am Not Out of Here Yet":

Congratulations, Ryan!!! Wonderful send off.
Now--- the world is your oyster-- not that that hasn't been so your entire life.
But, now you'll have more time to pursue your dreams and fantasies.
I hope so, anyway :-)
Hugs,
Ray Ruiz in New Orleans

It figures! Now the world is my oyster, but I am allergic to oysters and mussels, (but not muscles).

On a side note, Ray is a B and B owner in New Orleans. Check out his site here. He is also personally responsible for our buying a condo in Pompano Beach, Florida.

We have never met Ray in person. We have never seen the condo that we bought. Funny world!

Virezma Comments

Apparently, one of my former students sent this comment in to the Harry Potter post. However, based on their e-mail moniker, I don't know which student it was.

Virezma has left a new comment on your post "07 - 11 Connection"

Dear Dr. James,
I'm so glad to find out at last how much you like the Harry Potter series. When we were freshmen at university some of my friends and I used to identify you as the Dumbledore of our institution. And you will always remain that for us.

Karen has left a new comment on my post "This came in the e-mail this morning. Just a stone...":

I just love thoughtful people, don't you?

Ryan's reply: Yes, I do. Makes me think I should have a more visible wish list and shipping address :  )

A Fan

I am a BudaBaB fan! After losing my camera in an auto accident in the Czech Republic, Ron loaned me his own camera so that I could photograph Budapest on my last day there. It made such a difference to the quality of the experience. But the best part of Budapest was Ron and Ryan and the BudaBaB. Beth Besson

Thank you, Thank you!

It is so heartwarming when I post something and someone comes to my rescue. That is the case with the post on the social networking links. Divya Sai sent this note for which I am grateful. I will play around with it on one of the blogs I set up for my university classes until I get it down and then will migrate it to this blog. Thank you Divya!! Hi Ryan, You can place the images in any order as you want, the error means that the the div tag has not been closed, so if the code is like this you just have to put this at the end of whatever code you are using for stumble button: This closes the div tag.

Thank You Allison

This came in my mail and I wanted to share it. I had asked Allison if I could, but I figured as long as I do not post her last name or e-mail address, it would be fine. "I had to write you and tell you how much I'm enjoying your blog! Thanks allison"

Reader's Comments

Usually, when a reader sends in a comment to a posting, I republish it in the body of the blog. I know I for one do not generally think to click on the "Comments" to see what others have said. I have been known in the past to also republish the hateful, negative comments as well as the positive ones trying to be balanced. A woman sent me a note to my e-mail complementing me on the blog and I had all good intentions of posting it. However, at the time, I was inundated with other things and deleted the e-mail without thinking. My regrets, but if she should read this and would resend it, I would love to have it here. In addition, yesterday I received another comment from Jim: "Great Blog - I've always wanted to visit Budapest but have always missed it while in Europe. I've never seen Mutts before either - hilarious -" Following his link, I see that he too has a blog, which I found quite impressive and worth a look see. For those interested in gardening head over to http://jim-groundcover.blogspot.com As Jim says in his blog, if you don't make a comment, I will never know you were here.

Dear Dr. James,
There are no words that would be enough to express how thankful I am.
It must be hard to keep everything going based on what you wrote and I apologize for adding to the clogging of tasks.
You may remember what I said when we met late summer that I hope there is a good reason for me to do this extra term:) and now I know the reason.
I had to read these texts assigned, esp in the ethnicity class to get rid of a burden I had been carrying with me for a long time. There were things about my childhood that were left unspoken, hurts and feelings that never got comforted, and now it's out, which is a great thing.
One of the reason I chose humanities for my university studies, despite the fact I had always been better in sciences is because of teachers like you. Not because you make exceptions and are always helpful, but because you are interested in the whole person, and you don't just look at someone from one perspective. I know you make people work hard, but it is a work that builds and adds to the quality of that person.
So, thank you again for this term and all your efforts invested into my shaping:)
I appreciate everything you are doing for us, students!
Best regards,
Aniko
