Travel All Over the Day Part 1
0 commentsVenting my anger some more did not do much for my frustration level. When I looked at the e-mail once again, there was a tiny box that said "If you made this purchase, you can verify it by clicking here." I clicked, snapped, crackled, and popped the box. The window that opened said our ticket has not been confirmed. There was another box to click to make our seat choices. Go for it, my mind raced. All that it produced was a notice stating that my seat preferences would be taken into consideration at a later time. What a tease.
Off to pack now; we are leaving for Bari, Italy in a couple of hours. More later...

47 or 49?
0 commentsAt number 49, you will find the Tooth House. Though not a charming as number 49, there are some cozy little tables to hide away into a nook with your laptop and beer. I just came from this kert, specifically to research this blog post. They don't have any exceptional beers, but I did find a little hide-away to read the news on my phone. I just finished the book The End of Faith by Sam Harris last night and didn't want to start a new one. Ron returns tomorrow with a load of books I ordered. I wish I had ordered more of Harris's books.

Happy Birthday, Ron!!
0 commentsToday is my partner Ron's birthday, but he is in Iowa visiting relatives. If you are not sure where Iowa is, just rest assured it is somewhere in that group of 48 contiguous states. The next time you are in the US, just look at an ear of corn in the grocery store. You will find a label marked "Grown in Iowa".
Anyway, I wished him a Happy Birthday via e-mail, but thought I would do a little more than that.

Budapest Wanderings II
0 commentsThis album is from last Saturday's wanderings around the city, but shortly after, I was so busy with guests that I never got around to doing anything with the photos. Yes, there are more lampposts here, but so much more too.

"What
Bike?":
In terms of biking, you are a bit mistaken, Budapest has been improving its
facilities greatly, and is currently rated by the people who invented urban
biking as 10th best city in the world
http://copenhagenize.eu/index/index.html,
being by far the best in central europe.
There are still a few places that are tricky (Szent Kalman tér e.g.) and of
course Buda side is more challenging for your fitness.
Countryside, except around Balaton and Matra are also still work in progress.
Incidentally i use bike in Budapest daily to commute (ca 15km) trip back and
worth to work as well going around the city center.
