You may remember I have posted that the Showtime series, The Borgias was filmed at the Korda Studios in Etyek, just outside of Budapest. Well, there is more shooting going on come July 11, so be careful where you wander off to. The filming of the Ken Follett's novel Pillars of the Earth will be starting and starring Cynthia Nixon of Sex and the City fame, but she is also in The Big C on television, English actress Miranda Richardson, and Scotsman Michael Caton-Jones. Pillars of the Earth is a four part miniseries sequel to Follett's other novel World Without End, which was made into a movie also filmed here in 2007. Pillars is due out in 2012. Janos, one of my private students had given me World Without End for Christmas one year. Great book!
