All I Want For Christmas

It is that time of year again, another semester at the university has ended and it is time to take off. This year, we will be researching the options of ex-pat living in Panama and Nicaragua, so our out-of-country experience will be longer than usual. We want to see how the other half of the world lives.

I will blog as much as I can while we are gone. Tomorrow, we will take the train from Budapest to Munich, a six hour ride. We will stay overnight in Munich to fly out on Sunday morning. Our first stop is Newark, NJ and then on directly to Panama City, Panama. That is unless the pilot has too much eggnog and we end up in Panama City, Florida by mistake.

For those who believe and/or celebrate Christmas, I hope Santa Claus, baby Jesus, Kris Kringle, Chris Kringle, Father Christmas, Sinterklaas, or the Easter Bunny, whatever you call him, brings you all your heart deserves.

Don't drink and drive! Love thy neighbor! Okay, I am still working on this one, but you try too.

Happy Spring Sunday

I don't celebrate Easter, but let me wish those of you who do, a most "Happy Easter". As I was thinking about this post, I came across a photo I took last Easter in front of St. Stephens Basilica here in Budapest. According to the caption, it was after masses were over. I had titled it "Easter Parade".

For those who are more modern traditionalists, I offer another photo. Notice as the idiom states, I don't put all of my eggs in one basket. Let that be your Easter reminder of wise sayings. Up until we left the US, I still colored Easter eggs each year, nurturing the child within.

I hope the Easter Bunny finds you no matter where you happen to be. Note to E.B.: I prefer white chocolate.

Spring Celebrations

I am going to hop in the shower, but before I do, I just wanted to wish everyone who celebrates it a Happy Easter. May the Easter Bunny bring you a big basket filled with mouth watering goodies.

And it would not be an American Easter greeting without including Peeps.
